Hi Emma
Sorry about your interview. I hope I don't sound too annoying, but these are standard interview questions, not just in ophth. You should always have yourself prepared for these standard questions, and when you don't it doesn't look good. If you are like me, and aren't great at selling yourself, then it is even more important to really have your answers prepared for quite a few basics like this, as it is even harder to think on your feet, when in a stressful interview situation. It can be really frustrating, as you just come out thinking they did not see the real you. Interview practice may be all that's needed. Lets face it, you will definetly have the answers for these questions next time you are asked. Write down a list of as many basic questions they can ask, then write down the answers and learn them by heart. It is reasonable to ponder and fumble on the quirky, unpredictable questions so you will be forgiven for pausing on those, but not on the ones above. I don't think I can answer the questions for you, as I am sure everyone has their own reasons for applying etc. otherwise the interviewee might think they are interviewing parrots if we all came out with the same things! – Kate. |
