What do the above A scans show?
answer
Both ultrasounds show the presence of an extra peak between
the posterior lens and the globe. The peak in both cases are
the same height as the last peak meaning that they have
the same acoustic impendence as the retina.
What are the diagnosis?
answer
The diagnosis is between retinal detachment and choroidal
detachment.
Figure 1 is choroidal detachment which characteristically
shows the presence of double peaks at the tip of
the peak.
Figure 2 is retinal detachment which has only one single
peak at the tip of the peak.
