Case
six
a
What does this fluorescein angiography show?
Answer
This is the fluroescein angiography of the left eye
taken at the early venous phase.
The optic disc shows hyperfluorescence with
branching fine vessels. There are areas of
hypofluorescence in front of the retina (the
retinal vessels are occluded).
The patient has severe proliferative diabetic
retinopathy with new vessels fo the optic
disc and pre-retinal haemorrhages.
