Answer to question a.
a. Field of binocular fixation. This is performed with an arc perimeter.
In the diagrams above the shaded area represent areas of
diplopia. Some examiners may shade the areas of binocular
single vision, it is important to read the question carefully.
Answer to question b
i. Left sixth nerve palsy. Because the diplopia is worse on left gaze.
ii. Blow out fracture. The test shows binocular single vision is
restricted to a small area but it does not tell which eye has the
blow out fracture.
