Answer a Aberrant regeneration of the left third nerve. The pictures show partial ptosis in the left eye. The upgazes in both abduction and adduction are impaired. There is widening of the palpebral fissure on adduction and attempted upgaze. Answer b Aberrant third nerve regeneration is a feature of compressive third nerve lesion and may occur in: i. cavernous sinus meningioma ii. posterior communicating artery aneurysm.
