Capillary haemangioma
This baby was referred because of a right medial
canthal swelling and recurrent conjunctivitis. Lacrimal mucocele was diagnosed
and the patient placed on waiting list for syringing and probing. Over
the next three weeks, the swelling expanded rapidly. A CT scan revealed
collection of vasculature in the medial orbital wall. The patient was referred
to the neurosurgeon because of progressive enlargement of the lesion threatening
to occlude the vision. Surgery was uneventful with complete removal of
a encapsulated capillary haemangioma.
