History: A 58 year-old hypertensive Asian man was referred by his optician because of the following appearance. He was asymptomatic. The vision was 6/6 in both eyes and the intraocular pressures were normal. His blood tests including FBC, ESR and glucose were normal. The picture shows sheathing of the retinal vein with surrounding hard exudates. The appearance suggests previous branch retinal vein occlusion. | |||
