Revision Techniques

• Set a revision timetable with realistic goals. Do not attempt to read a whole textbook within a week and hope to remember all the salient features

• Work for short time with adequate breaks

• Make notes on your notes every time you revise, improving them and make them more meaningful

• Use a personal glossary or summary cards to help revision

• Revise with colleagues or friends, criticize each other's essays or viva skills

• Study past papers, to see how the questions relate to the syllabus and praxes essay plans
