Dosages of anti-metabolites for trabeculectomy

5-fluorouracil 25-50mg/ml. cellulose sponge is cut into small pieces and soaked in the solution apply the sponge in the under surface of the conjunctiva (Tenon's capsule) at the site of future bleb.  apply in total 3 sponges for 3 minutes ie. one sponge for each minute irrigate the applied area with about 30 ml of normal saline

Mitomycin C 0.2-0.4 mg/ml use sponge and apply for 3 minutes as for 5-FU irrigate the applied area copiously with about 30ml of normal saline.
