The cortex  has become liquefied and the central nucleus has sunk to the botton of the lens.   What complications can result from this cataract? Answer Anterior chamber inflammation and  glaucoma. The liquefied cortex can  leak out of the capsule causing  inflammation and clogged the trabecular meshwork leading to increased intraocular pressure. What type of visual problem may this patient complain? Answer The patient has posterior subcapsular cataract and the patient typically  complains of problem with near vision  and glare at night espcially during night driving.   What are the possible causes?
