What does this fluroescein angiography show?
Answer
This frame is taken at the venous phase showing
abnormal areas of hyperfluorescence in the right
fundus. The hyperfluorescence areas radiates
out from the optic disc. This is typical of angioid
streaks.
How can the vision be affected?
Answer
Extension of the angioid streak into the fovea.
Development of subretinal neovascularization
in the macula causing oedema and
haemorrhage.
